MLS club Sporting Kansas City has extended its working relationship with Goalkeeper xG for the 2024/25 and 2025/26 seasons.
Wednesday 13th MARCH - Goalkeeper xG is pleased to announce that MLS side Sporting Kansas City has signed a further two year commercial agreement for Goalkeeper xG's specialist data and performance services.
Sporting KC's First Team Goalkeeper Coach, Alec Dufty, said of the extension that "we are thrilled to be able to continue our relationship with Goalkeeper xG. Over the last year they have provided numerous valuable insights into the goalkeeping at Sporting KC, which has allowed us to see different trends and areas of focus for our training environment.
“We believe Goalkeeper xG will continue to help us advance our methodology and produce higher level goalkeeping performances moving forward," he continued.

Manifestations of Goalkeeper xG analysis were evident in Sporting KC's goalkeepers' performances over the course of the season. Dr Harrison continued: “Even in the game in which Sporting KC were eliminated by Houston in a 1-0 defeat, Tim Melia made two huge 1v1 saves to keep his side in the game. Knowing how much effort Alec and Tim had put in on the training ground, and utilizing our data to help them best prepare for those situations, it was pleasing to see.”
